One Caddo Parish judicial election was decided Saturday night while two more are headed for runoffs on Nov. 4.

-- Shreveport attorneys Craig Marcotte and Joseph Greenwald meet in a runoff for the Caddo District Court's Division I judgeship.

Neither candidate got a majority in the three-man race for the seat vacated by Charles Scott, who retired to run for district attorney.

Marcotte had 37 percent of the vote to 36 percent for Greenwald, according to complete but unofficial returns. Eddie Brossette, an assistant district attorney, was third with 26 percent, according to complete but unofficial returns.

-- Attorneys Ramon Lafitte and Carl Franklin are in a runoff for the Caddo District Court's Division J judgeship. Lafitte narrowly missed getting the majority needed to win the race outright.

Lafitte had 49 percent of the vote to 32 percent for Franklin, according to complete but unofficial returns. Ron Stamps, an assistant district attorney, was third with 19 percent.

The winner fills the judgeship previously held by Michael Walker, who was convicted of federal corruption charges.

-- Shonda Stone was elected to a vacant judgeship on the Caddo Juvenile Court.

Stone, an attorney in Shreveport, received 51 percent of the vote to 49 percent for attorney Wilbert Pryor, according to complete but unofficial returns.

That judgeship was held by Vernon Claville, who was convicted along with Walker.
