The man wanted for a triple murder in Bossier City is in custody. Bossier City police say they won't release any information until Saturday afternoon.
They told our Chris Redford that Robert McCoy, Jr. has been arrested. They won't say how or where, but someone close to the investigation says McCoy was arrested in the upper midwest. His family says it was in Idaho. He allegedly had been hitching rides with truckers. No one was injured at the time of his arrest.
McCoy is charged with the murders of three people. Police say he shot and killed his estranged wife's parents and teenaged son Monday night in their Bossier City apartment.
All week long, police have been actively searching for him in one of the largest manhunts ever in Bossier City. That manhunt is now over with the arrest of McCoy.
McCoy's sister says she's glad he's in custody and safe.
