A $2,000 cash prize awaits the person who solves Shreveport-Bossier's Hometown Tourist Scavenger Hunt.

The Shreveport-Bossier convention and tourist bureau kicked off the hunt this morning.

To win, you need to pick up a passport at the tourist bureau office at Spring and Crockett streets downtown, figure out the clues to five different locations, visit each one and get your "passport" stamped.

The goal is to get people involved in seeing some of the area's highlights.

The first clue:

"If you like to imagine someone you're not, then this is the place that will give you that shot. Project your future by refining a trade, and watch the lights in the room start to fade. You can never imagine the effects you will see, while seizing upon this fine opportunity. Enjoy a repast with your friend or your mentor, while gazing at stars at this celebrated center."
