A fatal accident in Bossier Parish is still under investigation. The accident happened last night around 6:00.  Reports came in of a car running other vehicles off the road.

The car came to rest in the south tree line of I-20.  The driver, 79-year old John Elzie, then exited the vehicle and walked into the east bound travel lane and was struck by a vehicle.

Elzie was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities believe he was disoriented due to Alzheimer's disease.
