Fire that started in a piece of equipment damaged a hardware and millwork business in Bossier City Thursday evening.

The two-alarm fire happened about 6:30 p.m. at Hardware Resources off Viking Drive.

Smoke was coming from a building where wood molding is made when firefighters arrived. The fire started in a piece of machinery used to mill wood molding.

The fire was contained to the machinery and did not spread to any of the lumber inside, firefighters said.
