Detectives with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department are investigating the death of a woman at a house in Keithville this morning.

Firefighters from the local fire district were called to the house on Booker Road just before 8 a.m. to a report the 44-year-old woman was having trouble breathing. The woman was dead when they arrived.

Her boyfriend was at the house at the time and was described as extremely upset, deputies said.

Detectives said preliminary indications are that the woman suffered from a drug overdose.
