Coroner: Man's death was not weather related

A man who died during Thursday night's storm in Shreveport died of natural causes and not because of floodwaters, the coroner said today.

Steven Robert Isidore, 35, of New Orleans was found dead shortly before 10 p.m. in a flooded SUV in the 600 block of Euclid.

Police said Isidore had been trying to move the Chevy Suburban to higher ground when he began having trouble breathing and fainted.

He was taken to Christus Schumpert hospital where he was pronounced dead.
