With the approach and minute-by-minute developments
of Tropical Storm Gustav, Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover's office has
developed a central location of Emergency
Information for persons needing assistance while in the Shreveport Area.
Along with Police Chief H. L. Whitehorn and Fire Chief Brian
Crawford the Mayor's office has compiled a listing of on
area shelters, statewide road closures and up to date storm information from the
National Hurricane Center.
Providing the very latest
information during Gustav, Mayor Glover announced daily press briefings at 11:00
AM at the Bossier City location of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 1511
Doctors Drive. The daily briefings by Sandy Davis, Director of the Caddo-Bossier
Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness are seven days a week and
will include Saturday and Sunday.
