Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Bossier City couple has been arrested for simple burglary and criminal trespass. Jeremy Wayne Lewis, 31, and Amanda Dawn Lewis, 28, both of the 2500 block of Spruce Drive, were taken into custody early this morning after Bossier Sheriff’s deputies observed them leaving a construction site on Benton Road. Their vehicle was loaded down with construction supplies.

The deputies followed them into Shreveport, made contact with them and brought them back to Bossier Parish for questioning. Jeremy Wayne admitted he and Amanda Dawn made four trips to the construction site, stealing a table saw, shingles and finish. Jerry Wayne said he traded the supplies for crack cocaine and cash.

The owner of the construction site reported approximately $5,000 worth of roofing and construction equipment missing. The Lewises were booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility at 4:00 a.m.

Bond is pending.
