Boil advisory lifted for Mansfield Rd. area

Thousands of people in south Shreveport can safely drink their tap water again.

A 24-inch pipe at Mansfield Road and Industrial Loop broke early Wednesday morning, causing thousands of people in south Shreveport to lose water pressure.

The boil advisory was put into effect as a precaution while the water was tested for contamination, but tests came back clear.
