Louisiana gubernatorial candidate Bobby Jindal kicked off a statewide bus tour in Shreveport this morning.
The Kenner Republican's message was planned to be the same at each stop: Stop government corruption and ineffectiveness, and reduce spending.
"To me, this is truly a defining moment for Louisiana," Jindal said in Shreveport. "If we're ready to take control of our state back, this is our chance."
Democrat Walter Boasso campaigned in Shreveport today and pushed insurance reform agenda. He wants insurance companies to offer the same kinds of insurance in louisiana as other states.
Boasso, of St. Bernard Parish, also wants to make it a crime to intentionally delay paying a home insurance claim.
Boasso has just sold his Chalmette shipping services business to a Florida company for $60 million. The sale is expected to be finalized by the end of the year. Boasso America has offices in six states.
