Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City holds it annual open house and air show this weekend, with the Navy Blue Angels precision flying team highlighting the two-day event.
Gates to the base open at 9 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. The show starts at 10 a.m. with the Blue Angels scheduled to be the last event both days.
The Blue Angels began practicing over Shreveport-Bossier on Thursday.
Visitors can park on base and there will also be free shuttles from two locations not far from the base.
The shuttles run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. They will go from First Baptist Bossier church on East Texas Street on Saturday and from the Bossier Civic Center on Sunday.
