He was already wanted for purse snatching, now a Shreveport man faces even more charges after police say he stole from a pizza place today.

Police say Matthew Hardy went from snatching purses to snatching money.

Ronnie Woodruff with the Pizza Hut on Bert Kouns says workers were counting cash when the 23-year old walked in, grabbed it and ran.

Woodruff chased him through a nearby apartment complex and got help from an off-duty Shreveport police officer.

Hardy was just on the news the night before. He was already wanted in connection with a string of purse snatchings when police say he tried to strip Pizza Hut of its dough.

But he didn't get too far thanks to quicking-thinking and acting men.

Hardy was booked into jail for felony theft. He's also charged with three counts purse snatching and for burglary earlier this month. Hardy's alleged accomplice in the purse snatchings, Jerry Wayne Peters, 21, was arrested last Friday.
