AT&T is making plans to launch an internet subscriber support center at Little Rock that will bring 175 new jobs to the area. Company officials said today the new Little Rock
center will initially assist AT&T-Yahoo! highspeed Internet subscribers.
The employees will work at AT&T's Arkansas headquarters in Little Rock on West Capitol Avenue. Company officials say the new jobs will bring 4 million dollars in additional payroll to the Little Rock area by 2009. They say all of the 175 new jobs will be union represented.
Governor Beebe and Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola attended the announcement today at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.
