Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Plain Dealing man has been arrested for domestic abuse battery.

Kevin D. Shockley, 29, of the 8100 block of Highway 3, was taken into custody Monday after punching his girlfriends son in the face and stomach. The incident was reported when the 15 year old boy showed up at school with a bruise on the right side of his face. He told Bossier Sheriffs investigators Shockley hit him on the side of the head, causing him to fall down.

Shockley, who was booked into the Bossier Maximum Security Facility, has an extensive criminal history, including arrests for stalking, false imprisonment, disturbing the peace, simple criminal damage to property, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, and other drug, alcohol and traffic offenses.

Bond on Shockley is set at $5,000.
