The rain didn't stop the River Cities triathlon Sunday morning, but it did force a few changes.

"The water was coming up really high, and they cancelled the swim. it was too dangerous to put everybody in the water. So we did a run bike run," said Kevin Cook, triathlon participant.

Many of the participants have been training rigorously for Sunday's event. And most of them participate in many competitions throughout the year.

Amy Guthman runs regularly and says she's the most proud of finishing the triathlon with her husband. Sunday was his first race. She says they started training together at the gym. And she says, he's actually been her inspiration. The couple plans to do another triathlon in Cincinatti at the end of the summer.
