Holy Angels residents were rockin' Saturday morning!

The sixth annual David Rice Memorial Holy Angels Walk and Run was held in Shreveport's Long Lake Subdivision.

Bands played along the route to help encourage walkers and runners who were out helping to raise for the facility. Organizers say this is the biggest turnout of participants in six-years.

They raised $100,000 leading up to the event to help pay for two new cottages for their residents.

The Holy Angels facility cares for the special needs of mentally and physically challenged children and adults. The walk/run is named in memory of David Rice, a former resident.
